Needed some way to hang my Fireball Tools Minion Squares with the rest of my welding clamps, and to keep the tabs and screws from getting lost. This tray is my answer. It can either sit flat on a bench/shelf or hang on a wall with a #8 screw. I designed this as three modules: - The base with the pockets for the squares and slots for the tabs. - The backplate with mounting holes. - The screw block with space for 8 screws. Part of the reason is to be able to print over three separate sessions but the main reason is experimenting with new construction techniques. And by making the screw block modular and removable, if the threads in the plastic wear out I can easily print a replacement. So when I printed each piece in ABS separately the screw block has a place for brass heat-set inserts on the back for two #6 screws, and the block attaches to the backplate with two 1/2" #6-32 countersunk screws. I glued the base to the backplate with [SciGrip #16 Acrylic Cement](https://www.scigripadhesives.com/scigrip-16-low-voc-acrylic-plastic-cement/). If you want to print a single solid object, I've included an STL for the complete assembly. I designed this version so that the holes for the screws in the screw block are .201" diameter, which is the tap drill size (#7 drill) for the 1/4-20 thread on the included screws. I just cleaned the holes with a [#7 drill](https://www.mcmaster.com/30585A17/) and tapped them with a [plug tap](https://www.mcmaster.com/2521A621/) before screwing the block to the backplate. If you use yours a lot the plastic threads will wear so you might want to sink brass thread inserts. If you print a single object, you will need a [1/4-20 bottoming tap](https://www.mcmaster.com/2521A641/) if you want to cut threads all the way to the bottom of the blind holes. **While you might get away with using PLA for this, it really doesn't tap well (too soft) so trying to tap the screw block probably won't work. I think ABS or PETG are better choices.** And yes I know some of the pictures show a block with only 6 screws. That was my original prototype and I built this because I kept misplacing tabs and screws and at the time could only find 6 screws. I eventually found the missing two and the block now has room for 8.
