I wanted to see if I could make a 3d object from a photoshop jpg. I picked Robert E Lee. Played around in Meshmixer and Meshlab for simplification. I intend to print this in a translucent so it can be backlit for a lamp. Next step would be to curve and make a lamp shade or curved lit portrait. Process is not too complicated but the objects are unprintable if you don't set a min object size in mesh mixer. There are two versions. One with a lot more detail and one with a min size of 0.1 mm Edit- ive since learned there are much easier ways to do this ( Print Settings Printer: Xyzprinting pro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Notes: Abs at 220, 90 bed
