Close encounter under a green sun and a gray moon—A sci-fi themed book nook. Two versions, one is designed for added lighting. Base, left, and right wall are shared. The version for added lighting has a back wall with a cutout for a wire, and the sun is a separate model, open on the back. I printed everything with Overture PLA, with the exception of the sun, where I used transparent PETG and gave it a coat of fluorescent green spray paint. Everything printed fine for me on Prusa satin sheets but large rectangular objects like these can easily warp, so you may have to add a brim or Mickey Mouse ears to the corners. For lighting, I used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JVLXZ27. I glued one string to the back with an LED shining through (most) holes, and I just stuck one whole string inside the “sun”. I also added a bit of mirror sheet (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZX96ZXT) to the inside of the sun, but I don't think it makes much of a difference. The moon is a slice from NASA's model of Vesta: https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/resources/2341/vesta-3d-model/ The human astronaut is a scaled version of @MaxGrueter's https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2382467 The human spaceship is a remix of @bluefreddo's https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4751775 The alien astronaut is @grimgreeble's https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3416439
