First Layer Calibration Pattern [from Prusa MK3/MK3S firmware]

thingiverse

First layer calibration GCODE for Prusa printers, as implemented in Prusa MK3/MK3S firmware (https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware), originally created by Marek Bel. Enclosed GCODE files are generated directly by the firmware source code, so that is exactly what your printer does when you execute First Layer Calibration from the Menu. This pattern draws a meander, ending with a small square at the end. Available GCODE files for different filaments: * PLA (215°C/60°C) * PET (230°C/85°C) * ABS (255°C/100°C) To define your custom temperatures, edit lines 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the gcode file: M104 Sxxx; set hotend temp to xxx M140 Syyy; set bed temp to yyy M190 Syyy; wait bed temp M109 Sxxx; wait hotend temp ### Layer Height Issue - Version 3.1 Currently, there is an inconsistency in the firmware regarding the first layer calibration pattern, because the print head is positioned at 0.15 mm height, but the algorithm that calculates the extrusion for the rectangle at the end of the pattern calculates with Z value of 0.20 mm. It produces over-extrusion which results in the rectangle's bottom being smoother than in your regular prints. * Version 3 of calibration files uses the original (wrong) value of 0.20 to calculate extrusion for the rectangle, but it is exactly what you currently get in the Prusa firmware * Version 3.1 uses proper Z value of 0.15 mm ***IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not slice the enclosed STL file, which is here just for illustration - just use enclosed GCODE files.***
