FIRST Robotics 2014 (Aerial Assist) - Concept
grabcad
Tanner Jones, a mentor for seven years at his old high school robotics team, modeled this concept to ensure all parts rotated freely without interference. The most challenging part was animating the pneumatic tubing. To achieve this, he used hidden arms attached to the tubing's ends, and swept them through a spline drawn between the endpoints. Although the actual robot differed from the model, Tanner found modeling it enjoyable and shared the files in hope of inspiring others interested in robotics. He requests that the work not be uploaded or sold without permission, and must credit him as "Tanner Jones (WandererTJ)" with a link to this page if posted elsewhere.
