This 6061 Aluminum hook was used to lift our Rebound Rumble robot up the steel pipe tower. I don't recall what our robot weighed that year, but I remember that some back-of-the-envelope analysis showed that it had a good safety factor. I think we cut it on a band saw and used a grinder and hand tools to finish.
