This is an add-on for Till Harbaum's TX-Pi system (https://github.com/harbaum/tx-pi).

An I2C breakout case to be installed inbetween Raspberry and display.

The clips in the top cover are intended to accomodate the I2C level shifter and the 3A step down converter displayed.

The bottom holds the RPi prototype hat as displayed, equipped with stacking headers.

Via printed connectors - thanks to Jan (juh) -> https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3375338 - and the converter (adjusted to 5V), the RPi and display can be powered.

Additionally, 3V3 and 5V I2C connections can be provided via 6 and 10 pin headers.

Attention, the pin headers are meant for board mounting. Pins may be pushed out of the housing, so I put a good drop of cyanacrylate glue on the backside after welding the wires to the pins just to prevent the pins from being pushed back.

Of course, unused RPi GPIO pins may be connected to the break out headers - feel free to do what ever you like.
Category: Construction Toys
