Fish Stringer Sheath

printable fish stringer sheath - I've made couple of fish stringing needles (or whatever you want to call it - see pics for details) from a round stainless steel bar that I've cut from some kitchen tongs i found in a local store - the largest diameter I could find was 5.7mm - which seems to be similar to what comercial products use The overall length of the needle is 150mm. It has 4x 4mm general purpose holes for attaching it to a buoy or anything else. It can be attached to a diving belt (the hole is for 50mm belt, but can be changed in the *.scad file for different size) The red piece of string is only for illustration purposes, for real life I've got some 180kg monofilament ;) Print Settings Printer: HicTop Prusa I3 ABL Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 80% Tetrahedral Notes: I've printed this with supports, but I'm quite confident that it would be fine even without (the gap is around 60mm which should be easy enough to bridge). Printed in ABS as the design is based around it's flexibility. Post-Printing Just removed the supports and brim and sanded smooth. How I Designed This It's designed around the specific sizes of material I have. The *.scad file is attached and I've tried to put enough comments to be easy to change the needle size and diameter for it to generate suitable sheath for different sizes. (it's parametrics so inputting the diameter and length is should be the only necessary thing to do ... i've tested it for diameter 6.2 and 10mm and both outputs are acceptable.
