NOTE: 12/17/21 Thingiverse still appears to be serving the zip files containing the old version of the STLs, not the latest updates. If you download the model and the ear-end of the temples look too thick, try downloading the individual STLs from the files page. These are the replacement temples I ended up making for my Solar Shield fit-over sunglasses. I have several pairs and the left temples keep breaking in half. The hinges of my various sunglasses are not identical, and I have no idea how many different variations there might be out there. But if you have a pair of sunglasses that has hinges that match one of the side-view images shown here, you might be able to use these designs. The included model is only the left temple, so you'll want to mirror it in your slicer to print a matching right temple. The temples might be a little tight at first, but after a period of wear, the plastic will deform to the shape of your head. It may look a little odd but should work fine. left_temple_1.stl matches hinge style #1. left_temple_2.stl matches hinge style #2. Print with supports and sand the ear tips smooth after printing. Temple design originally based on "Customizable Glasses Temple (Arm) Replacement" by JmsDwh. 11/29/2020: Reduced curvature of temples a little bit. 12/15/2021: Slimmed down temples, beveled inside lower edge, reinforced screw hole and increased countersink hole size.
