FitBit Charge 2 Band

FitBit Charge 2 Band

I love my FitBit, but I find the bottom of the body uncomfortable and it leaves a deep impression in my arm. I've looked around for other solutions, and there really wasn't much that interested me, so I decided to design a wristband for my Fitbit that would place the sensors flush with the bottom of the band. I started by modeling my Fitbit in Solidworks. I've uploaded the file for the device to GrabCAD ( https://grabcad.com/library/fitbit-charge-2-1 ) if anyone is interested. With the model, I was able to design a cradle around it, and printed a small body to verify the fit. I made some adjustments, and with my 2nd print I added a simple hinge joint (was not as efficient as the boss-pin and loop. After 6 major revisions, as well as wearing the last 2 versions, I decided the design was ready to share. Also, I'm contemplating adding a larger body to the cradle, or perhaps giving it some character by making more decorative (faces, shapes, maybe even adding hair?)...
