Fitbit Surge Desktop Stand Improved

This thing is an improvement of the one made by "barspin" on Aug 14, 2015.http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:969077 The last update (March 2016) includes a modified version of the cable retainer designed by "borgchick" for his remix (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1204069) of my current remix. This a desktop stand for Fitbit Surge "Fitness/Smartwatch", exactly for the L sized model, the only one tested. Not tested if it can be used with the other sizes (S or XL) as well. I really appreciate barspin's work but I decided to improve his design because I wanted to put the Fitbit Surge in the desktop stand without plugging the USB connector. If it is not connected through the little rear window, the Fitbit Surge falls down because it does not have any lower support. I needed to change the design for those cases in which you do not want to wear the Surge and only want to see the time, for example standing up in your desktop table during your work and without the charging cable connected. Therefore in this new design the lower support was added and the rectangular rear cutout was moved up. The upper part was rotated to ensure a best fitting of the Surge as well. Like the original design the charging cable can be mounted in the rectangular cutout using a little force. You can choose to print three different sized models. The normal one has the same size of the barspin's original design. The large model hides completely the rubber belt of the Surge and finally the small one has the minimal size both upper and lower parts in case you do not like other versions. Although this has a reduced size the Surge fits perfectly and does not fall down. It is an interesting option if you want consume less plastic filament during the printing process or you only want to test the stand before printing the final version. As was said, the last update (March 2016) includes an modified version of the cable retainer designed by "borgchick" for his remix (Fitbit Charge HR charging stand) of my current remix. Now the normal and large models include a reduced retainer that allows to fit better the cable. The small model does not include the retainer because there is no enough space considering the size of the head special Fitbit connector. Please note that creating a support is required to print the retainer versions. I got better results choosing these main settings: Layer height: 0.2 mm Shell thickness: 0.8 mm Fill Density: 20%-40% Support type: "Everywhere" (Structure type: Grid - Fill amount: 15%). Platform adhesion type: Brim The internal support created by Cura can be removed easily with a cutter. The cable retainer needs a support as well. Post-Printing The internal and retainers supports created by Cura can be removed easily with a cutter.
