Box for fitbit zip to mount on a dog collar. The slot for the collar is 27x3mm. The collars my dogs have are approx 25x2.5mm. The fitbit zip fits in VERY tight - not that it feels like it is breaking or anything, but I will not fall out by accident, even if you take the box of the collar. Since the fitbit zip is shaped slightly like an isosceles trapezium, the fitbit zip will only fit into the hole in one way. There is nothing on the box to tell you how that is, but it should be kind of obvious once you have both in your hand. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Notes: I printed this standing as the preview/render shows here. I have a theory that a print is stronger in the X/Y dirrection that in the Z, since X/Y is extruded in one flow, where as Z added layer after layer. Therefore at very best a print will be almost as strong in Z as in the X/Y plane, but Z will never be stronger that X/Y... By printing this standing, the clamps that holds onto the collar will be as strong as possible (according to above theory), because they are printed in the X/Y plane. The entire box will then be orientated in the dirrection that causes it to be weakest, but since it it so much thicker than the clamps, it is much less a problem. How I Designed This One of the first designs i liked on thingiverse, was this box by Klodeko http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:290281. Now I finally got fitbit zips for my dogs, and I wanted to print it. However, it turned out that it was not manifold and my slicer could not cope with it, and hence I could not print it. I have talked to Klodeko previously, and being a very kind person, I'm sure he/she would have fixed it and uploaded a new version. But I also needed these mounts for christmas presents, so I thought it was quicker/safer to remake the already brilliant design. I will not try to take any credit from Klodeko for this design.
