This handy little tool lets you cut bottles of various sizes and requires **less than $5** in hardware. I wanted to be able to cut wine bottles into glasses but didn't want to pay the $15-$35 that most cutters cost. So, I picked up some screws and a glass cutter at home depot and ended up with this design. It allows for a wide range of bottle lengths and widths to be cut and it works particularly well for wine bottles. It can also be fully disassembled when not in use. The maximum cutting length is around 6 in/15 cm (which can be extended if you use longer bolts) and the maximum cutting diameter is hard to estimate but it's probably over 4 in/10 cm.
