Edit Dec 1st, 2021: Kywoo has updated their post to reflect the change. Please use their nely uploaded model "10mm_Hot_bed_support_X4.stl". (The original was 8mm, so the new model has accommodated the 2mm change details below) ____________________________________________________________________________________ i present to you 2 options for you tycoon MAX: (not sure if this will work on the tycoon 240, as my tycoon 240 has a different clearance between the carriage and the 2040 extrusion) if you have already printed the files from the original post i suggest you print 4 of the "spacer.stl" files if you have not printed the files from the original post then i suggest you print 4 of the "Rail_bracket_X4.STL" and 4 of my "2mm_taller_Hot_bed_support_X4.stl". why is this needed? the original Rail_bracket_X4.STL is designed to give you 21mm of clearance between the y carriage and the 2040 extrusion. but the screws that hold the bed to the carriage stick down 2mm from the y carriage. this is a problem. before this mod you have 23mm of clearance between the y carriage and the extrusion, with 21mm of clearance between the bottom of the screw and extrusion. if you install this, our belt is not in a straight path anymore; it is off by 2mm. look underneath your bed you'll see it dips down in the center where the belt attaches to the carriage. also, you may notice that the rear center screw sticking out of the bottom of the y carriage (holding the bed to the carriage) may hit the y axis motor shaft. you need to add a 2mm spacer to fix the issue. for the spacer.stl: i gave you 0.4mm of tolerance. if it end up being too much just flip the spacer so the offset gap is against the extrusion and not the rail (see images) you could go and reprint the model with a spacer integrated but there is a potential issue: i think a gap is needed for a complete re-print/re-design of the model, as it will be difficult to press the rail into the holder if tolerances are too tight. (the original design has a 0mm tolerance....) So the issue is, if the tolerance is too loose, the rail could move around (NOT GOOD). but if it's to tight, then you will break the part getting the rail in, or the rail will not go in at all. the easiest way to fix this is with a spacer between the "Rail_bracket_X4.STL" and the 2040 extrusion. there is another option, you could increase the thickness of the "Hot_bed_support_X4.stl" by 2mm, but that would be much more work. you would need remove 8 screws on the bed, the bed, 8 screws on each of the 4 rail carriages then reinstall each again. (total 40 screws, removal of the bed, bed spacers and all the realignment)
