With the flag positioned over the fiberglass rod, my Thule flag measured 6.78mm diameter. This clip is modeled at 6.60mm so that it has a snug fit. For my flag, it keeps the flag very secure with 2 clips in place. To alter for another size fiberglass rod simply measure yours with the flag installed and scale = X.XXmm/6.78mm.
