Flange Drilling Jigs with toggle clamps

This is the 2nd design for Drilling holes in flanges. There were two major issues that were to be kept in mind while designing the Jigs and that were: • Variation in diameters of the flanges that were to be machined • Variation in numbers of holes that were to be drilled in the these Flanges The issue of variation in the number of holes to be drilled in these Flanges is resolved by using a jig arm and an index plate Variation in the Diameter of the Flanges is resolved by using locating pins at specified distances depending on the size or workpiece to be machined and for holding the work piece toggle clamps are used.
