When I first got my Flashforge Adventurer 3, I looked up ways to make it able to take a standard 1KG spool of filament, and found the original that I remixed (thanks Ronnke!). However, after some experimenting, I have made a couple of small tweaks to it. The original has the slight angle straight outwards from the spool hub, so it either angles straight up (which doesn't feed as nicely) or straight sidways (which doesn't hold the spool on well). By rotating it 45 degrees, it provides some angle up and some angle towards the opening, so it feeds into the extruder better. I also added a couple of small holes. For the one nearest the body, I have a long nail with a few pony beads stuck through it to provide a rolling surface for the spool. For the outer hole, I stuff a bobby pin halfway through it to keep the spool from sliding off (I don't think it would anyways, but it's extra piece of mind, in case the printer is bumped or somesuch). Please note: The original had variations for a three-hole spool hub and a four-hole spool hub. This version is ONLY for the four-hole. Make sure it is the right one for your printer before printing one out.
