This is a 3D printed spool holder upgrade for the FlashForge Creator Pro. The purpose is to put a variety of spools on bearings for easy rolling. The spool holders fit in the original FlashForge mounting slot. You need to purchase a few extra parts for this build. Parts List: - A pack of 8 mm ID x 22 mm OD x 7 mm thick bearings Note: You need two bearings per spool holder (one on either side of the spool). I would purchase at least 8 bearings. Make sure the bearings are not sealed and don't have grease so they will easily roll. They aren't under much pressure so you don't need to lubricate them. Source: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074M6J582/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - At least one 5/16" bolt that is 4" or 5" long depending on the width of your spool - Two 5/16" nuts and two washers Assembly Instructions: - Print a spool hangar "spool_hangar" and a pair of rollers "spool_bearing_xxxx" Note: The numbers at the end of the "bearing" filename denote the spool ID widths accepted by the roller For example: 57-51_35-29 accommodates spools with inner diameters between 57 to 51 mm and 35 to 29 mm. - Press the bearings into the spool roller Note: You can push the bearings in by hand on a flat surface such as the table. - Put the bolt into the spool hangar - Hang the spool hangar on your machine where the spool holder slots are - Put on a washer, a spool roller, the spool, the other spool roller, a washer and finally a couple nuts to secure your spool in place. You may need to add support material under the rollers for best printing results.
