# Flashlight quick lock mount A picatinny mount to hold a flashlight while allowing to quickly remove it from the mount. I have a flashlight mounted on my rifle, and sometimes want to use it without pointing the rifle everywhere. This design was built to allow a quick removal and relocation of the light. # Material For the hinge system : - One M3 rod (22 [mm] long) - One M3 screw (flat head) - Two M3 nuts (not nylock) - One small spring (slightly bigger than 3 [mm] diameter) To fix on the picatinny : - One M4.5 screw (around 25 [mm]) - One M4.5 nut # Mounting Fit the two parts together and screw the rod in the hinge (grind a flathead on it). Screw the nut on the screw, insert on the part, add the spring on the other side and the second nut. Screw the second nut enough for the screw to not be on the way while closing the part. Screw the first nut to have the second flush with the part while released. The length between the screw head and the first nut is used to pull the screw. You could add a printed "handle" to help you pull. It is enough as is for me. Secure both with Loctite. Put the M4.5 screw in the base, add the fixation part and the bolt. You are ready to go !
