I seriously expected to find this on the site, but I didn't. So I made it. This is a fan mount for flat surfaces to mount the ubiquitous and common 120mm or 140mm computer fans. I as 120mm or 140mm. I'm using 140mm, but the mount should accept any fan where the screw holes are centered 7.5mm from the edges. In my particular case, I'll be putting 7 fans in a passthru between my office and the hallway at home. I'll be using a rPI to control them based on the temperature difference between my office and the hallway. In the pic here, I've put nylon ties through the holes to hold the fans and then nylon ties at the top of the fans. I gave some thought to making a gromet for the top of the fans as well, but I'm not sure that I will (stay tuned). You can also put 40-50 mm M5 screws, nuts and washers through, if it suits you. The stabilization arms feature 2 or 3 holes for screws (to secure the fans to a surface) and/or a bit of cable management which is appropriate for both nylon ties or screws.
