Flex Shaft Router

Flex Shaft Router

thingiverse

A friend suggested I design one and I didn't have anything better to do. This uses a Foredom flex shaft handpiece which has a 3 jaw chuck with a 3/16" shaft capacity. Just about any tool made for a Dremel will fit it and hold it rigidly enough to grind or rout wood or thin aluminum. I'll make a few changes over time but the basic components are all here. The chamfered hole at the far end of the rear table is there so you can attach it firmly to a workbench with a flat head wood screw if you want it to be permanent. Otherwise use the two holes provided and clamp the handpiece mount to the edge of a table. 2021_02_09: -Uploaded Rear_Table_02 which includes slots for M3 FHMS to secure Fence_02 -Uploaded Fence_02 which has cutter clearance and holes for M3 FHMS. Use wing nuts to secure it to table as needed. -Uploaded RT_05 to show new configuration.
