The Flex Wheel has already been designed with numerous mounting holes so that it can easily be attached to various positions on a multitude of different printer frames. This stand allows for even greater flexibility in how and where you can use the Flex Wheel. In the Bowden configuration, this stand also enables you to use the Flex Wheel as a free-standing unit. Simply place the extruder and stand on a flat surface adjacent to your printer. As a free-standing unit, your Flex Wheel can be easily swapped between multiple printers. Additional hardware required: 2 x M3 x 10 - 20 mm to mount fan. 2 x M5 x 10 - 20 mm to mount Flex Wheel unit to base. 4 x M3 to mount fix the stand if required. Since the Flex Wheel is capable of providing a higher degree of force upon your printing filament over and above any other extrusion system, the stepper motor can become warm once you really start cranking up the power. A 50 mm cooling fan helps keep everything cool, allowing you to push the limit even further. There are brackets on either side that allow you to position the fan where most convenient. Alternatively, you could even double up and use two cooling fans! More power equals more Hotend Barrel Pressure, which equals Improved printing capabilities. The Flex Wheel is a revolutionary new way to grip, control, and print with rigid or even the trickiest of flexible filaments using your 3D printer. It has been designed to be compatible with your existing 3D printer hardware and software. Available configurations include: 1.75 or 2.85 – 3 mm. Ideal for Bowden Cable set-ups, allowing you to upgrade and improve your printer. The Flex Wheel can also be used in a Direct Drive configuration. It prints truly flexible filament. Improved retraction capabilities mean that you shouldn't turn off retraction when printing flex – instead, turn it up!
