Flexbox - svg

This is a flexbox (flex box, flex-box??) made from a .svg file created in Inkscape. This file can be used as a template to make other sized boxes. No need for glue - it holds itself together. Based on bdahlem's excellent parametric flexbox. Instructions Download the flexbox.svg file. Load it into your drawing program - I used Inkscape. This file will make a 76x76x30 mm box using 3mm material (ply or MDF) Make any adjustments to the size if you want. Export a file in a format that your laser cutter supports. Set appropriate power and speed settings. Zap material with laser! To construct the box: Place base on a flat surface. Attach the flexible strip, starting from the centre at the rear of the base and work round to the front. Attach the top also starting from the rear. Admire your workmanship.
