Flexible Disc Golf Putter

Flexible Disc Golf Putter

thingiverse

Here is my first original design in Fusion 360, a practice putter for disc golf. I printed it in TPU and I had to remove a lot of material because I was running low on filament, otherwise it could very possibly be viable as a competition disc. The diameter is 210mm, so keep that in mind if your printer has a smaller bed. It printed at around 90-100 grams but without the geometric design in the middle or the removal of material around the edge I'm sure it would have ended up being around the 170-180 grams a normal putter would have been. I was really surprised at how well it throws, and I plan to design more discs in the future. I designed it by drawing a profile with lines and fit point splines, as well as a filleted hexagon for the rim area and using the rotate function to turn it into a disc. The outer rim has a circular area removed to reduce the amount of filament it would take to print. I'm including the design files in case anyone wants to add or remove material or change it up.
