FlexMendel Cooling Duct (Newest)

thingiverse

This is the newest version of the cooling duct for a FlexMendel printer. The vents now have a more centralized flow aimed towards the tip of the nozzle. Both vents have been adjusted so the fit together with 4 M3-8 screws. This model has a lot more rigidity and allows for better flow. The secondary vent MUST be printed in ABS to avoid warping. UPDATE (2/24/2016): I have adjusted vent 1 so you can take the entire vent off without having to take the fan off. I HIGHLY recommend printing this part in ABS since it is close to the extruder. Print Settings Printer: FlexMendel Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 200 microns Infill: 90% Notes: The first vent should be printed using support material. Set the overhang threshold in slic3r to 15 degrees so it does not include any unwanted support. The second vent can be printed without support material. Make sure your printer is first capable of printing this low overhang angle (it's about 25-30 degrees).
