Flite Test Goblin Motor Mount with Speed Ring Cowl

Flite Test Goblin Motor Mount with Speed Ring Cowl

thingiverse

I've dummied up a "speed ring" cowl for the FT Goblin (on an "improved airflow" mount I found on Thingiverse. This is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3311705 It has a cool look to it, for sure. I have printed two of these, but have not tested to see if it actually assist in cooling of if it just looks cool (they do look cool, I'll give it that). The original motor mount on Thingiverse is just for "improved cooling" and I thought putting a speed ring on it a) looked cool, and b) might help a little. It's already in a turbulent zone and I've heard that the motor cooling with the stock motor mount was lacking (that's where (I think) this mount came from...I just added the speed ring This object was made in Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/lv1NnqrSqaf UPDATE (1): I found that the standoff's that mount the ring to the motor mount interfered with the motor wires. I've rotated the stand off's 45° to allow the motor wires to exit cleanly from the bottom.
