FliteTest Mighty Minis Power Pod

FliteTest Mighty Minis Power Pod

This is a full power pod for the FliteTest Mighty Minis. It is a work in progress, and I have not yet put my printed mini pods in flying planes. The thrust angle of the firewall matches the FT Mini Scout. Other models will likely follow, as well as versions with a cut-out pattern in the sides/bottom to slightly reduce material and weight. See http://flitetest.com/articles/ft-mini-scout-build-mighty-minis for build instructions of the model for which this was designed. Instructions The walls on this are intentionally very thin. I printed this on my Bukito with PLA in Cura. I used 1.5mm shells (the thickness of the walls), 0.2mm layer height, and 1.6mm bottom/top thickness (which doesn't really matter because nothing is hollow at the shell thickness). After printing, the holes may need to be cleaned/drilled out to match your motor. If you are using a reverse (right) motor/prop, you will probably need to mirror the pod in the Y direction to have the thrust angle correct. The latticed version (which I currently do not like much) was added in response to a comment about reducing material/weight. It should not be considered strong enough for newbie pilots with their frequent bumps.
