Floating Candle Holder

Floating Candle Holder

This is a simple idea I came up with to show my students some basic modelling and design ideas. The objective was to turn a simple form into a decorative candle holder and I used this as a demonstration. They are designed to hold a 40mm tea light and float in a bath, pond, pool, or a water themed centre piece. They are thicker on the bottom so the stay upright. Might add a little extra mood to a night swim, or a relaxing bath. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 at least Infill: depends on filament and desired effect Notes: The build will work for full or partial fill. If you are using a non-transparent material I would recommend a partial fill to allow more light through, this will also cast some nice geometric patterns on the water. If you are using a transparent material 100%may be better for a nice soft glow.
