This FLOP-HOUSE HOTEL (HO scale 1/87th) is a 3D printed and laser cut/engraved project. My laser is an OmTECH K-40 Watt CO2 using LightBurn software. The project allows you to stack any number of floors for the desired model height. The exterior walls stones and windows are Cut/Engraved with .062" sheet styrene. Cut .062" sheet styrene 5.5" x 5.5" for the floor and ceiling filler inserts. Roof HVAC equipment, chimney, windows and doors are 3D printed. Cutting and Engraving sheet styrene will cause the material to curve inward which makes assembly difficult. To remedy this concave surface, you must re-heat the walls to allow the material to return to its original flat shape. This is easily done by placing the wall sections face (Curve) down on a cookie sheet and place 1-2-3 steel blocks or any flat heavy object that is heat resistant on top in a toaster or traditional oven set to a pre-heated 250 degrees. IMPORTANT NOTE: AFTER PLACING THE WALLS IN THE OVEN...IMMEDIATELY TURN IT OFF AND ALLOW TO COOL NATURALLY.
