Bring in spring and spruce up your space with a 3D printed topiary. It’s a conversation-starting centerpiece that’ll turn heads at your next party or event. For construction, follow our lead or use the flower and assembly technique to make a wreath or bouquet using store-bought floral foam. See a full assembly video on the MakerBot Youtube channel: http://mbot.co/1IuIQzt Instructions Supplies: -Floral foam base:http://www.save-on-crafts.com/foamtopforbr.html -Nails -Hot glue gun* *If you are going to be transporting your centerpiece, it is a good idea to use hot glue to secure the flowers/nails into the centerpiece. We used 157 flowers to make our centerpiece. Print flowers with a raft, at .3mm layer height, 2 shells, 3% infill. Remove rafts from flowers. Push a nail through the top of your first flower, so the pointy end comes through the bottom of the flower. If using, apply a dime-sized amount of hot glue to the foam form, then push the flower/nail into the foam. Push the nail fully into the foam using the back of a pen. Repeat for remaining flowers.
