EDIT 11-07-17; added some pics Hi, this is my first project. I am new to 3d printing, but i think is quite well polished. The thing started when I saw that original kit was horrible designed. It worked, but mechanicaly it had huge flaws. I was very disaponited with X carriage disposition so I started to work on it. Printing quality improved a lot, because belts are quite tight now and Z axis runs smooth, not like before that z carriage twisted when tighting belts. This is an overhaul for Z carriage, to match the standard prusa mk2, wich I saw once and was sturdier and stiffer; much better than our original kit. It changes disposition of Z rods (smooth and threaded one) to be parallel to XZ plane. It also makes stiffer the Z stepper position; before it used to bend the acrylic because of the weight. Separation between rods is 17mm, so you can use other mods that uses this Z carriage size. Needed things: -2 units of 8mm Steel rods, of a lenght between 330-360mm (2 buck on a industrial parts shop on my tiny city). -A new belt, as because the wider X carriage, original one was not enought. -2x 608zz bearings for the upper rod holders. I recomend to use 4mm T-nuts for the frame rails, and washers, this improves stiffness of the whole mounting.
