Flush Mount Pocket Door Handle

Flush Mount Pocket Door Handle

This is a flush mount Pocket Door Handle. If you cut exactly 4"x2.75" opening into your door, you can mount the door handle as is. If you want a little trim, you can glue and screw the molding piece provided. The molding piece is only 1.6mm so, the profile is still very close to the door thickness. I made this because the contractor left very little movement in one of my pocket doors and a regular door handle would not fit into the pocket. You will need to print this with support. The assembly includes the swiveling handle piece which is trapped inside. Once printed, you'll need to free it by removing support. I suggest PETG for this print as other materials will make it harder to remove support as you need to force the handle a bit to get to the support underneath. There are pocket screw holes in the assembly. I wanted to have a clean way to attaching this, and pocket screw holes for a pocket door handle sort of seem appropriate.
