Fluval Aquarium Filter Intake Strainer

Fluval Aquarium Filter Intake Strainer

A very simple intake strainer I made after watching one of my Clown Loach vanish into the intake :O (it was fine btw as it was straight into my magnum polisher, where I found him swimming around :) )....Anyway it's designed to fit onto the cut end of the 22mm (OD) 17mm (ID) Fluvial ribbed hose as found on the 306/307 406/407 (it may fit others, just check your hose size). Due to the basic triangular geometry (not a true circle) used in this design, it means that it fits really snug onto the hose (in fact you have to sort of thread it onto the hose) which is good as it won't fall off. Printed in same orientation as print bed image above, 0.25 layer height, 100% infill, no supports required. I used PLA, the fish still seem fine after a couple of months of use, I've noticed no changes to water parameters and the strainer hasn't degraded in anyway, shape or form.
