Fluval Flex 15 Flow Bar

Fluval Flex 15 Flow Bar

thingiverse

This flow bar has had several prototypes prior, with several different hole sizes, angles, spacing, etc. Of the seven tested, this bar, if rotated correctly, will allow your Betta fish to sleep calmly on the upper surface and allow good tank flow along the substrate, but not too much to overwhelm bottom feeders. In addition, the water line is kept a bit lower, which will oxygenate the water too. That said, please consider also printing one of two of my feeding enclosures listed on Thingiverse. Said enclosure will reduce food waste and tank maintenance as the flow bar will disrupt floating food. This design has been tested for six (6) months without any issues or failures. This design prevents the common issue of PLA splitting that is common among other designs. The body uses screws to secure the bar to the Fluval output nozzle. The notch on the body will prevent the bar from rotating and maintain the desired angle. The screws should be brass, and the holes are designed to accept a #6-32 x 1-1/4" or 31.75 mm. Printing should be done so that the ring and notch area on the flow bar is printed last upper Z-axis (see picture) I 3d model as a hobby; if able, tip any charity you choose.
