Assembly and demonstration video: https://youtu.be/zF34Cr0AbXw 3D printed flying spinner toy. Load the spring via the wheel on the bottom, put the rotor on top, and push the trigger to send the rotor flying. It's all 3D printed from PLA, except for when ball bearings are used. More elastic materials probably will not give the same spring tension. Assembly is easy. Put bearings in the top and bottom of the handle, slide the trigger into the hole on the side of the handle and then stick the spindle up from below. The spring fits in the spindle and the top of the handle. The cover will be a light press fit. There's a little hole under the rotor where a small pin can be inserted to let the rotor keep spinning after it lands on the floor. If the spring breaks it can be removes easily by sticking a pin in the hole under the ledge of the handle. Requires two 12x18x4 ball bearings. The printable bearings are not going to give nearly as good a result as real ball bearings, but can work in a pinch. Remove the rubber seals from the bearings for reduced friction: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&toolid=11800&pub=5575353675&campid=5338226872&mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F1-5pcs-6700-6701-6702-6703-6704-6705-2RS-Rubber-Sealed-Deep-Groove-Ball-Bearing%2F283291137387
