So, I designed this after finding only 1 video on YT and one design on here, that did not hack apart or drill holes in the transmitter. The video for my build can be found here: https://youtu.be/jnKRM3BYruA The ONLY thing I did not like about Teknik Atöly's design was soldering on the wires to the pads, this means that using AA batteries again can't be done without unsoldering those wires, but, that is nothing more than preference. Credit to Teknik Atöly on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaZLmsLVfZg for his design which was my inspiration. He also has it linked here on Thingiverse for those who want to rather use his design. you can find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4905372. Out where I am things are not cheap, this TX is considered cheap in USA and EU countries...... Not so much here...... So, I wanted something that did not in any way shape or form cause any permanent damage to the TX, meaning that this could either be an addition when re-selling it, or by just re-designing the battery cover be moved to the next TX I own, or, I just make up a new set for the new TX. Now, depending on how well your printer is dialed in, I would suggest creating custom supports for the switch cutout and the USB cutout on the battery/ electronics box, if this is done with the thinnest possible brush and then trimmed down some, you can have the support print only inside the cutouts without any other supports going down to the inside or outside of the print. While doing this make sure that supports from the build plate is also on so that auto supports are made for the catches that hold the slide lid in place.... The other thing is that the Battery Blank needs to be flipped around for printing, the orientation is wrong and even though I have transformed and resaved it, it remains in the wrong orientation. The second is the battery compartment door, this too needs to be flipped over, for this part you will absolutely need supports from the bed, there is no getting around this but, it is very little.... The rest are printed bar the box without supports! NOTE!!! The window for the LED capacity MUST be a TRANSLUCENT filament!! I have included the FreeCad files for the one who feels adventuress enough to try and understand my logic...... Hope this helps someone out! Enjoy, C.
