Updated 11/28/2017 Added the png file for the buttons Added Quantities to print These buttons are for the design for the FMC (FlightManagementComputer) for Boeing 737NG by User0180 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:774564). All bases can be printed by PLA or ABS or PETG or any other material you prefer which is rigid at a slow speed (40-50 mm/sec). Be sure that material is not transparent preferably black. 300 micron is enough. Transperant inside parts can be printed by any transparent filament like PETG Natural. These needs to be transperant to transfer the led light. Print with 100 micron. Letters can be printed on a transparency film for inkjet. And then cut them with a scissor or very sharp knife and glue then on transparent parts. Use a fast drying clear glue (I use Sico Met 101 from Henkel). (Now obsolete)Update: Now I use 3M 468MP double sided very thin tape which is very fast and clean to stick the letters on the inserts. Parts are clickable into the base, so you can anytime detach them and change the film on it. You do not need to glue them into the base. Letters.png file is an Adobe Fireworks file, which is a vector design. If you have similar software you can play on the design. So as a summary: Print bases with a dark color non-transparent filament Print inserts parts with a transparent filament Print the letters.png on a transparency film for an inkjet printer and cut Glue the letters on relevant transparent clickable parts and click them into the bases. That's it. With a 3 mm led under them they will shine at night. If anybody is interested in the design of buttons I use Cubify invent and I can share my design if you leave a comment. UPDATE: I finally completed the all rectangle ones, for the circle ones I need to find a safe way to cut the letters properly.
