Foldable Print-in-place Phone Stand (Light Weight with Japanese Kumiko Pattern)

prusaprinters

This project is a light weight phone stand. It is a print-in-place design that no assembling is needed. Also, the stand is foldable for easy carrying.

In compared with my previous designs, this one reduced weight drastically by re-designing the support mechanism. Only two support plates are needed for this design, instead of the three plates of the previous ones. There are two benefits, (i) lighter weight and (ii) shorter print time. The fixing of the positions of this stand is done by using a pair of sliders, which are also print-in-place. The angle of the phone can be adjusted by selecting one of the three stand position settings in the sliders.

A sample GOCDE sliced in 0.2mm layer is attached for easy reference. Users may also slice the attached 3MF file to suit there printers and print setting.

A time-lapse video showing the printing of this project is also available via the following YouTube link:

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/m4p7M7_O6Mo"></oembed>
