Foldable Stereoscope / Stereo Image and Photograph Viewer

Foldable Stereoscope / Stereo Image and Photograph Viewer

thingiverse

A simplistic, but decently working design for viewing stereo images or photographs, using 2 acrylic lenses and a three-part 3D-printed Frame. The Idea came to life after printing the [terraPin 2HT Stereo Pinhole Camera](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1090252) and wanting to view the pictures in 3D. Although it works with a variety of stereo cameras, I can say that it definitely works with the terraPin Stereo. Notice one of the middle frame cutouts is slightly larger to accommodate for bigger noses, like mine, but other than that orientation does not matter. The Model itself is designed to keep its rigidity, while saving filament and print time. Pictures are held in place by the snap in strip on the Hold Frame, that has to be pushed into the opening after printing. The parts are connected via nails/srews through the small holes in each frame. Lens cutouts are 34,5mm in diameter and designed around Lenses with a focal length of 106+mm. More specifically, look for a OM7 or OM Nr.7, Ø 34,5 mm, f +106 mm convex acrylic lens. These are quite cost effective with a price usually under 2 bucks and are a pressfit with the given model. Examples: [Astomedia lens](https://astromedia.de/Opti-Media-Linse-OM7) [opitec lens](https://www.opitec.de/technisches-zubehoer/optik/linsen/kunststofflinse-nr-7-34-5-brennweite-106-mm.html) Picture frame holds Images up to 13cmx6cm with individual image space up to 6,5cmx6cm. Bigger Stereo Images can also easily be inserted but might not fit perfectly.
