Introduction: ===== Why are there no Kindle PW4 cases online? Lets fix this! This case for the Kindle Paperwhite 4 is a folding "clamshell" design. The maker will need 1.75mm filament for the hinge. The shell fits very close to the tablet as it should. The case will bend along the longitudinal axes to more easily take the kindle in and out. ###Update 2-24-2021: - Rim of the case has been shortened to allow easier access to the Kindle. - Hinge Axes tangent to optimal print orientation have been increased to offset problems when slicing. - STEP files are now included! Enjoy! These will be especially helpful if you plan to add magnets. - Secret photo of Albert Einstein's desk shortly after his death is included (new rendering). ###Update 2-25-2021: - Customizable lid! - Personalized Text: variable font, position, size, and depth. - Variable thickness ###Magnets: - I have printed a case specifically for testing magnets. The magnets can effectively replace the function of a traditional clasp. - The magnets do not turn on and off the device. This has not been an issue as I still have access to the power button. I expect the Kindle uses a basic Hall Effect sensor but cannot seem trigger the device. - If you have any luck with this function let me know; I will change this summary. - I will not post a model with magnet slots. You can remix this design for your specific magnets, however, there are too many size varieties that would clutter this page.
