For precision slicing and scoring, single-edge razor blades work better than utility knives and are cheaper than hobby knife blades. This handy folding blade holder makes using the blades easier and safer. It has an integral clip for locking the blade in securely, and it also has two storage slots in the handle for fresh blades. CAUTION: Be very careful when handling and using razor blades. Note: There are two different thicknesses of single edge razor blades available. This is designed for 0.009" thick blades with an overall thickness of 0.038" Watch the demo video: https://youtu.be/3-_Lgt6VY1M Instructions Printed in PLA with 0.2mm layers and 0.4mm line width. Both parts print without supports. Print them maybe a bit hotter than usual for good adhesion. The parts have a lot of fine detail, so also print more slowly than usual. Printing with a raft will ensure that the openings for the storage slots are sized correctly. Once printed, snap the blade holder pivot into the handle. The end of the blade holder has s little flexible clip - pull this up to slide the blade into place and make sure it clicks back into place after the blade is fully seated. Pull the clip up again to release the blade. CAUTION: Be very careful when handling the razor blades. Do not try forcing the blade into or out of the holder Only use light force when cutting with razor blades, otherwise you might break the blade or the holder.
