New, much improved version of the folding car stand. The folding legs now snap in place using small magnets making the car stand much more stable, and it's using heatset inserts for the threads. 02/19/22 Update; -Improved magnet location on legs and top deck to remove interference when folding the stand. -After ordering a few more magnets I noticed quite a variance in the height of the 6x3mm magnets, my latest batch is actually only 2.7mm tall. Updated to include 4 different magnet depths, 2.7/2.8/2.9, and 3.0mm It's an easy print, both legs and top deck print without support. You will need to purchase a few items to complete the build, but it's totally worth it, this works really well! Heatset inserts are M3xD5.0xL4.0 purchased from the HotXYZ store on aliexpress. If you can find heatset inserts of the same size, they should also work. These are the same size as the ones used on Voron 3D printers. Printed Solid in the US, sells small heatset insert kits. I used 2mm self-adhesive foam sheet from Benecreat on Amazon.
