The stock cooling for the FT-5 is both loud AND inadequate. I made this up to get my printer to near-silent levels while substantially lowering temperatures for both the stepper drivers and the power supply. Print 2 of these, and they will slightly overlap each other, which is why they are as thin as they are. use the M5x10 bolts and t-nuts like you would usually use on the stock back plate. Install 2 120mm fans, 1 to push, and 1 to pull. If you want, you can remove the top case of the power supply and its fan, just beware that you will expose yourself to hazardous voltages if you do so. I ended up using standard 12 volt fans and an adjustable voltage regulator board to get the fans to where they needed to be, between this mod and waterott TMC2100's, the printer is very quiet while in operation, and nearly silent at idle.
