During an engine rebuild, you'll need a tool to align both over head cams on each head. These tools can be purchased from Amazon or other distributors for around $60. I'm currently rebuilding one of these engines and modeled up an alignment tool instead. This tool is a very tight fit against both flats on the exhaust and intake of the camshafts ensuring that they will stay in position while securing the cam mains. Cam spacing on center: 100mm Cam spacing from outer flats: 122mm Cam flat measurement: 22mm wide.
