After completing the Ford Flat Head Engine from Eric Harrell’s design, I built the Engine Stand that he also made available. The problem I had was that the combination of the two is so large, it is difficult to find an adequate location in my house to display it. It’s great for demos and so on, but less practical from a storage point of view. For this reason, I designed a version of a Display Stand that is simple and compact. The design of this includes two brackets that get mounted to the front of the Block and a single bracket that mounts to the Bell Housing. The rear bracket also has small standoffs to provide clearance on the Bell Housing. And on each of the four legs, a small foot is glued for both appearance and better support. Note: if you decide to print this, each foot is slightly different than the others. They are each labeled and oriented as if you are looking from the back of the engine. I printed the entire assemble in Translucent PLA to try and offset it from the actual engine.
