NOTE: Imported from Thingiverse without updates…

The main purpose of the this cover is to allow you to put your keyfob in your pocket (or purse) and not accidentally press the buttons.

This is a keyfob cover fits recent Edge/Escape/Explorer/Flex/Focus/Taurus keyfobs. Please look at the pictures to make sure it fits before printing. I have created STL files for all of these Ford models as well as a blank keyfob (no text). The openSCAD file takes text as an argument so you can print with anything such as your name.

Instructions

I printed with 50% infill, thick shells, and a .2mm layer height. I printed one with supports and one without. Both turned out OK but the cover without supports had some loose filament on the top inside.

I intentionally left extra material on the opening so it can be custom fit for the desired insertion force. I used a Dremel for this but a Exacto knife should work fine as well.

Category: Automotive
