The top half of the model, the LTD emblem and branches, were modeled as true to the original design as possible. I had some trouble getting the branches to twist around the base so I ended up mirroring one branch and creating my own base design. My main goal was to learn more surface modeling skills. The Flex tool really came in handy, making it much easier than I expected. The biggest chalenge was knitting it into a solid. I bet I spent five hours knitting and trimming those branches before it finally worked.
