Ford Maverick FITS Trash Bag Holder Frame - No Supports

Ford Maverick FITS Trash Bag Holder Frame - No Supports

thingiverse

"No-supports" remix of a trash bag holder frame designed to press into the rear FITS slot between the seats in the 2022 Ford Maverick. I used Autodesk Meshmixer to slice the bottom part flat so it could be printed without supports. The original design is solid and fits great but I didn't like that it needed supports enabled for such a highly-visible top-facing section. Any little imperfection from the supports shows on the most visible top part of the print when it's installed. This remix is easier to print and has a cleaner-looking final product. Printed on a 300mm Voron 2.4 in ASA at 0.2mm layer height with 5 walls, 5 top layers, 5 bottoms, and 40% infill. These settings make it feel very rigid and very solid. I would not print this using any filament with less temperature tolerance than ABS. Most other common filaments (PLA, PETG, etc) will sag and deform on hot summer days. Personally, I think ASA is the optimal filament choice for this part since it's able to withstand high temperatures and is also UV resistant.
