Ford Mondeo rear brake piston rewind tool 2000-2007

I created this tool to rewind the brake piston in the rear brake of my Ford Mondeo. There is a screw inside the rear brake piston that is operated by the hand brake. When replacing brake pads this screw must be rewound and pressed in at the same time. This tool helps enormously. Insert 12mm hex tool for spanner into the threaded large screw. There is room inside for one that fits in a 1/2"-size spanner. Use one of steel. Or print one yourself, it just may be strong enough. Put the tool in place, 12mm hex into the piston and tighten it up by hand. Turn the spanner, keep the nut from rotating with the printed tool. When the nut gets tightened it will start pushing the piston inwards and turn the piston at the same time. Keep turning the piston with the spanner and watch everything do its job. When done, loosen the nut with the printed tool and the tool will fall to the floor. Do NOT turn the spanner backwards at this point, the tool can lock really really tight. You need one right-handed thread version and one left-handed thread version for the other side. Use your slicer program's mirror function. If you need to adjust the thread diameter use the slicer's scaling function. Feel free to make a similar tool for your own car and model. Print Settings Printer: 3D printer Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Normal Infill: 50-95% Notes: I used normal PLA with 95% fill and 10 degrees warmer then usual to make sure the parts came out really strong. But it is not really that critical, the tool parts held well and show almost no sign of use afterwards. Except for the rust and dirt. I would say: use your settings for strong parts. You don't need to use settings for super-strong parts though. All parts can be oriented to print without support.
