The 55,000-capacity National Stadium at Kallang was opened in July 1973. Many Singaporeans hold very fond memories of the various events held at the stadium. Some of the greatest memories of the Former National Stadium would during the days of the Malaysia Cup, a competition the national team won three times in 1977, 1980 and 1994. The Former National Stadium was torn down in 2010 and a new Singapore Sports Hub now stands in its place. This model was made by BuiltinSG in conjunction with Singapore's 50th National Day Celebrations, SG50. Tag #builtinsg on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter if you print one.
